Before transferring your domain to another registrar, you must unlock it. This guide will show you how to disable the Registrar Lock from your client area.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Log in to Your Client Portal
- Go to https://clients.nanresources.com.
- Log in using your credentials.
- Access the Domain Management Section
- Navigate to the Domains section in your client area.
- Select the Domain to Unlock
- Click on the domain you want to unlock.On the Domain Details page, look for the Registrar Lock option as shown below:
- Disable the Registrar Lock
- Click on the Registrar Lock link.You will see a Domain Lock Settings page, like this:
- Change the Registrar Lock option to Off from the dropdown menu.
- Click the Save Changes button to apply the changes.
- Verify the Unlock Status
- Once saved, the domain will be unlocked and eligible for transfer.
Risks of Unlocking the Domain
- When your domain is unlocked, it becomes vulnerable to unauthorized transfers.
- To prevent misuse, ensure you unlock the domain only when you are ready to transfer it to another registrar.
- Always re-enable the lock after completing the transfer process if needed.
