Changing the Subscriber of an Existing Subscription in Plesk

Sometimes, as a reseller, you may need to transfer an existing subscription from one customer to another. In Plesk, you can change the subscriber associated with a subscription without affecting the data or settings in the hosting environment. This guide will show you the exact steps to follow.

Steps to Change the Subscriber of a Subscription

  1. Navigate to Subscriptions:
    • From the Plesk dashboard, go to Subscriptions. This page lists all existing subscriptions under your reseller account.
  2. Select the Subscription:
    • Find the subscription you want to reassign. Click the checkbox next to the subscription name to select it.
  3. Click on Change Subscriber:
    • Once the subscription is selected, click the Change Subscriber button at the top of the screen. This will open a menu where you can choose a different subscriber.
  4. Select the New Subscriber:
    • In the Change Subscriber dialog, choose the new customer from the list of available subscribers.
      • If the new subscriber hasn’t been created in Plesk yet, go to Customers and add them before proceeding.
  5. Confirm and Save:
    • Review the selected subscriber to ensure it’s correct.
    • Confirm and save the changes.

After saving, the subscription will be transferred to the new customer. All websites, databases, and configurations associated with the subscription will remain the same; only the subscriber ownership changes.
